With four contrarotating propellers
Around for 50 years now, it first appeared publicly outside the Soviet Union at the 1965 Paris Air Show.
Since then, the model has been used in major military and humanitarian airlifts for the Soviet Union and Russia.
The aircraft is capable of 460mph and has a staggering 211ft wingspan.
Its capacity is considerable, with its hold able to swallow 80,000kg of cargo, including oversized items such as battle tanks

Ан22 «Анте́й» («изделие 100», по кодификации НАТО: Cock — «Петух») — советский тяжёлый турбовинтовой транспортный самолёт. Первый советский широкофюзеляжный самолёт, самый большой в мире турбовинтовой самолёт. Предназначен для перевозки на большие расстояния тяжёлой и крупногабаритной боевой техники и войск, а также для десантирования парашютным и посадочным способами воздушных десантов.

Первый полёт выполнил в 1965 году. Серийно произведено 68 экземпляров, включая два для прочностных испытаний. Использовался в ВВС СССР, продолжает использоваться в ВВС РФ и украинской авиакомпании «Antonov Airlines».
