WHY DO WE BUILD TEMPLES, FAITH, DEVOTION
On the occasion of the Kumbabhishekam at Shamshabad
November 23, 2012 (As part of the 2012 Vijaya Yatra)

At 6:30 am on the morning of November 23rd, the Jagadguru proceeded to Sampath Nagar in Shamshabad and performed the Prathishta Kumbhabhishehka of the Prasanna Vinayaka temple.

Returning to Sharada Nagar, the Jagadguru then performed the Prathishta Kumbhabhisheka of Sri Chandramoulishwara, Goddess Sharada, Mahaganapati, Adi Shankara, Subrahmanya, Gopala Krishna and Navagrahas. The Jagadguru then performed the Shikhara Kalashabhishekas atop the Vimanas of Sri Chandramoulishwara and Goddess Sharadamba.

During the evening function to commemorate this event, the Jagadguru gave a Anugraha Bhashanam that touched upon the following aspects of Sanatana Dharma:

1. Existence of God is the fundamental tenet of Sanatana Dharma
2. Do not see difference in the forms of the Lord
3. Worship God with steadfast and focused devotion
4. Worship God with complete faith
5. Why do we construct temples?
