Arcade - Thrill Drive - Tournament Mode Gameplay (Europe)

Some gameplay of me playing the game's tournament mode activated by the operator's menu (aka. Test Mode). There are no videos of the game's tournament mode on YouTube so I decided to showcase it here for those who are curious. But essentially, there's really not that much difference between the regular game and tournament mode, other than that you are awarded points by the end based on your overall performance, with the amount of accidents you cause deducting some of your overall score. The tournament mode is essentially used for bragging rights, as the mode itself may probably used for reallife tournaments using the game, if there are any.

I'm playing the European version of the game with the initial thrillde. The reason for this is because this version of Thrill Drive allows you to choose if you want to use the handbrake and clutch, what type of shifter you want to use and if you have your shifting indicator either on the left or right, with the speed and rev counters being on their respective opposite sites. The intro to the game, while set in Europe, is similar to the intro seen in the Japanese version. The intro, the first course and car presented in the intro highlighted (Whether it's the Opel/Vauxall/Holden Corsa/Barina/Vita in all versions but the US, where the Ford Mustang is first) are what sets each regional version of Thrill Drive apart, having an intro set in the course tied to the region it is coded to.

It is played on the current version of MAME which suffers from less crashes than how it did in previous versions prior, including one video where I played it via the MAME core on RetroArch within EmuVR, which is currently outdated at version 0.251. The rearview mirror still doesn't function as it should.

As MAME emulation of this game gradually improves, I would eventually do another video of the game where I'll be playing the game with the Logitech steering wheel and the gear shifter that I do have.
