Dr. VanHorn shows a portion of his classroom lab at Calvin University using ArcGIS Pro to visually inspect pre and post earthquake areas in Morocco. Using Maxar Open Source raster satellite imagery, Dr. VanHorn shows one of many pathways for students to evaluate disaster mitigation through stepbystep visual assessment of natural disaster areas, create databases of those affected areas, and how to share those locations in other places, such as Google Maps.
