Model is of an Ayres Thrush/Archangel at approximately 1/5th scale. Used 3view drawings to modify a Dynaflite Fly Baby into what you see. Wingspan 88 inches and a VVRC twin cylinder 30cc gas engine swinging 19x8 prop. Used three shades of gray Behrs latex paint on SIG Koverall. Electric paint gun.
Trial taxi runs made in this video at Mead Field west of Omaha, Nebraska.
On last high speed taxi down runway I "hopped" it into the air a few feet, then cut power. It came back down on the runway somewhat rough, but no damage. Not even the prop. Lucky.
