Are Alternating Reps Best For Building Muscle w/ Calisthenics?

Unilateral, progressive, and suspension calisthenics exercises are stable for any serious muscle building routine. Classic pushups and pullups are great, but eventually you will need to employ the higher levels of resistance that are available with archer pushups and progressive bodyweight squats.

But the question is, is it better to do all of your repetitions on one side at a time or should you alternate backandforth to even know the workload?

Both approaches have their pros and cons, but I believe there’s one approach that is superior in most cases.
