0:00 Orient Watches Introduction

If you're interested in style or even mechanical wristwatches, chances are you've heard of the brand Orient. They seem to be everywhere, but are they worth it?

Let's start by answering this burning question: why are we making this video? For most people interested in watches, the discussion around Orient and their worth is almost a throwaway thought.

Of course, they're worth it! They're great value for a mechanical watch. This is based on the fact that most Orient watches are in an average price range of about $200 to $300, which seems like a nobrainer ticket price when compared to a much bigger investment like an Omega, Rolex, or Patek Philippe setting you back an average of $6K, $12K, or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, respectively.

1:11 The History of Orient

Orient is a name known for quality, precision, and timeless elegance in the world of horology.

5:17 Orient Collections Overview

→ Classic: Tasteful watches that focus on timeless elegance.

→ Bambino: Similar to the Classic collect but with a far more vintage aesthetic to them.

→ Sport: Mostly dive watches, but this is the collection for those who enjoy a practical, more functional watch.

→ Mako: Exclusively divers watches focusing on an accessible inhouse movement.

5:40 InDepth Review

For an indepth review of a single watch, let's get into one for my personal collection. My personal Orient watch is a threestar, stainless steel, silver dial, daydate automatic. This watch features an automatic movement. It has a case diameter of 40 mm and a lug width of 10.8 mm. Just for reference, my wrist measurement is 7 inches.

I did have to really adjust the watch for it to fit my wrist the way that I wanted. I do not like to have a ton of wiggle room in my band, and I love for my watch to stay in place even when I raise my hand. Additional features of my Orient watch: It is waterproof up to  30 m, but I usually try to keep it away from water; it is not shockproof; and it does have a date window; and it does have the day; and it does have the option to have it in Spanish. It also has goldtoned hands and markers.

I've had this watch since 2021. This watch has performed great.

7:37 So, Is It Worth It?

We believe Orient watches are a great choice for watch enthusiasts who want an affordable automatic watch at a reasonable price. They are versatile and attractively styled. In general, the Orient brand represents a fantastic ratio of build quality to price.
