My friend Mike Dillard once said that there were only two things that really moved the needle in his career learning new skills and meeting new people.

Today, we're going to talk about learning new skills. Our society basically views most learning as stopping after one gets one's last degree. There's a contingent that continues with "continuing education" within their field, but that's just an update of the same field they're in. How often do people learn skills in completely new areas?

In this video, I discuss how I and others like me approach learning, and I give two different approaches to dealing with the mind's response of "I don't have the time" one of which actually allows you to spend significantly less time learning the same material.
