White Oak State Park is close to the west end of The Arkansas Overland Route, TrailHawk Loop. If you choose to stay at White Oak State Park, it is .06 mile to Poison Springs WMA. The Poison Spring WMA is one area to explore while in this area. Pickup a free wma permit online and have fun exploring and if you choose to, disperse camp. I plan on mapping this short tour and sharing it to The Arkansas Overland Route, TrailHawk Loop Facebook Group. During the hot part of the day, it is nice to jump in the cool vehicle and go explore.
