Having artists that you follow and admire is great, but it can also be very bad when it comes to you improving your art. As much as art is inspired by life, its also true that the artist is the one creating the art, you have a say and you don’t have to follow the crowed. That's the great thing about art, anyone can create it. As long as you are creating art that is meaningful to you, I don't think you could ever go wrong. It only goes wrong when you are being influenced to do work you don't necessarily want to do and you aren’t learning how to be your own individual artist.

In order to grow and progress in your art journey you need to learn to stand for yourself, learn to be your own person and to not be influenced by the world or people around you.
