An Odisha BJP leader has been assigned to oversee the party's campaign in Jharkhand, focusing on 18 assembly constituencies. Two senior leaders from the state will also be appointed to support the campaign, alongside dedicated BJP workers. This marks a significant initiative by the BJP as they prepare for the upcoming elections in Jharkhand.

In the last general elections, BJD candidate Varsha Priyadarshini contested for the Badachana assembly seat, but after the elections, she has become notably absent from the area. In contrast, Amar Prasad Satpathy, a seasoned leader from Badachana who was not given a party ticket this time, continues to participate actively in various social and cultural events.

Yogeshwar Padhan, a young farmer from Semelmunda village in Gaisilet block, has emerged as a successful brinjal cultivator, despite lacking higher education and training in modern farming techniques. Through sheer determination and hard work, he has made a name for himself, earning ₹12 lakhs a year from his 4 acres of land.

Yogeshwar's entire family is dedicated to farming, and the brinjal they produce is exported to various districts, including Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, Bolangir, and Sonepur. Not only has he achieved financial independence, but he has also shared his success by providing a year's income to ten women and five unemployed youths from his village.

At 36 years old, Yogeshwar resides in the remote Semelmunda village. His initial aspiration was to pursue higher education and secure a job, but financial constraints prevented him from continuing his studies after completing plus two. Facing these challenges, he turned to his family's ancestral land for cultivation and income. In this journey, he received valuable support from the horticulture department of the state government, helping him realize his agricultural ambitions.
