Often, we start the path of spiritual searching because the circumstances of our physical life do not satisfy us anymore, do not seem to have meaning. But does that mean that the experience of enlightenment, or ascension is somehow in denying the physical, in escaping the hated 3D world?Does ascension mean being lifted up out of here, a return of the idea of "rapture" — when us, starseeds, advanced souls, can finally get to escape the Earth, with its doubts, fears and limiting physicality?
Or is ascension something else?
In the West, there is too often a dichotomy between body and spirit, an intellectual "enlightenment" with disgust or shame of the physical, of the struggle, the fear, the doubt. Sexual licentiousness under the guise of "healing" or "tantra" is only a reverse side of this dichotomy, not an actual healing.
I have come to believe that we are here to unite polarities. And this uniting polarities, this marriage of heaven and Earth is actually what ascension and the collective evolution is about. For us this means honoring and accepting our thoughts, our bodies, our doubts and fears, for our bodies are as sacred as our "enlightened" minds...
