In this video I showed how to assemble a budget computer on components from aliexpress. The assembly uses an Intel Xeon server processor, which is significantly cheaper than the intel i7 of similar performance. I also made a detailed review of the Atermiter X79 motherboard with a component heating test.
Building a PC on a Xeon server processor for an LGA2011 socket is a good decision even in 2021. These processors are cheap, yet reliable, and are on par with modern desktop processors. LGA2011based motherboards from Chinese manufacturers allow installing server CPUs without any modifications. In addition, they support server RAM, which is also significantly cheaper. There are many readymade kits for assembling PCs on Xeon of various configurations on aliexpress.
