Cove Mountain Shelter (mi. 1146.3) to Stealth tent site (1160.1) I did just about the miles I wanted to today, it was incredible how many blow downs were on the trail after that bad storm I hiked through last night. It actually made me more scared today after seeing the size of some of the trees that were across the trail. I ran into two trail maintainers late in the day, and we were discussing the work they had in front of them, they had worked north today out of Duncannon and were planning on heading south tomorrow. The storm did take away the humidity today though which was great. I really enjoyed hiking into Duncannon and then walking through the town checking it out. I wish it had fallen so that I could spend the night there, I would’ve liked to have seen more of the sights. Planning on doing about the same mileage tomorrow.

Todays menu: Two 28 oz. Gatorades, package of pop tarts, GORP, pint of strawberry banana ice cream, bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant, can of tuna & crackers, honey stinger waffle, snickers, freeze dried vanilla ice cream sandwich, and water.
