Commander Mikhail Kalashnikov is seriously injured in 1941. The accident leaves him incapacitated and unable to return to the front. While he recovers in the hospital, at just 29 years old, he begins to create the initial sketches of what will become one of the most legendary weapons in the world, the AK47 rifle.
