Athlete's foot is a fungal infection on the skin of your feet, medically known as tinea pedis. It causes scaly dry skin that can also be very itchy. If left untreated it can spread further including infecting your toenails. It is important to treat it as soon as possible, and remember to treat the skin, socks and shoes.
