Frank served on Johnston Island for several years. This is probably THE most contaminated place on earth. No less than three nuclear missiles exploded on the island. To make things worse, all the agent orange in the US arsenal was sent to Johnston Island as well. The thousands of barrels of agent orange sat unsecured on the beach, often leaking the toxic liquid onto the ground. Many veterans have served on the island, and many have been diagnosed with cancer. The US government refuses to recognize a connection between service on Johnston Island and massive amounts of cancer diagnoses found in the veterans that have served there.
