Atta Gur Cake (Wholewheat & Jaggery Cake)
No Sugar, no Maida, this is a healthier version of your favourite cake!
This cake can be easily baked in the Oven, Microwave, Pressure Cooker or even a gas Tandoor.
It has warm, earthy flavours and is a good option if you are avoiding refined sugar or refined flour.

Recipe:
Atta Gur Cake (Eggless Whole Wheat Jaggery Cake)
Preparation Time :20 minutes
Cooking Time: 3540 minutes
Serves: 45
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Yoghurt
1 cup grated Jaggery
1/4 cup Oil
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
1/4 cup Milk
1 tsp Vinegar
1 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
1/4 cup chopped Nuts
Method:
Mix together the grated jaggery and the yoghurt till well blended.
Ass in the oil, vanilla essence, milk and blend together to. Make a smooth consistent mixture.
Add in the vinegar.
Mix together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder and fold inot the yoghurt mixture.
Pour into a prepared 6” baking tin.
Roll the chopped nuts in a teaspoon of flour and spread over the batter.
Bake for 3540 minutes or till a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes and remove to a cooling rack and allow to cool completely before cutting to serve.
