At the beginning of April, an exhibition was held at the Kakamigahara City Industry and Culture Centre in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture. On display are plastic models of airplanes. The host is a plastic model club called Gifu Cockpit. They have been active for about 40 years, mainly in Kakamigahara city. There are currently 51 members. The members range in age from 70s to 20s.
Jiro Horikoshi is an aircraft designer who was the model for the movie "The Wind Rises". The KyuShi Experimental Singleseated Fighter is the plane he designed. Test flights were once conducted here in Kakamigahara City.
