Starting off with Auckland train videos with the first train I went on from the terminus at Manukau, which was conveniently the closest station to our hotel, along the whole Eastern Line into the city. This line is a spur off from the Southern Line at Manukau, while also taking a different, more eastern route to the Southern Line into the city (hence the name). This section was closed since March 2023 prior to the filming of this video for line and station upgrades, but was luckily reopened only a mere week or so before recording this. All other Auckland lines are also undergoing extensive shutdowns throughout this year for upgrade works, as well as continuous construction on the City Rail Link project, bringing new underground train station to the Auckland CBD.
