This lesson also describes the impact of the AEC on the radiographic procedure as well as identifies alternate names for the AEC. This lesson also explains why different exposure times would be used for different patients, explains the importance of selecting the right AEC cells, explains the importance of positioning the patient correctly over the AEC cells, and briefly explains the importance of lead shielding placement when using the AEC.
