Penn State Associate Head Coach Salima Rockwell, a former setter (at Penn State and on the U.S. national team) who now works closely with setters as a coach, frequently sees these three bad habits from setters at the juniors level:
1) Hands up late before contacting the ball.
2) Jumping late when jump setting.
3) Backpedaling to set balls passed behind them.
In this video, Salima has Penn State setters Wilma Rivera and Bryanna Weiskircher demonstrate how to fix these issues.
