In this clip, I chat with Andreea about how she avoided the huge mistake coffee shop businesses make with their menu: focusing on their drinks. The thing is, you can only raise the prices of your coffee so much. No one is going to pay $8 for a cup of coffee. So you need to make sure your menu has other ways to increase the average order value (AOV) for each customer. That way instead of having customers spend $4 $6, make it so they walk out spending $14 or $20.

Andreea does this smartly by understanding what to offer and the kind of customers that frequent her coffee shop business. Best thing is that the lesson that Andreea shares can be applied to not just coffee shops, but also other food businesses like boba stores, fast food businesses, home bakery businesses, food truck business, and more. You should be focusing on your average order value so you can increase your revenue for less work done.
