One of the classic aircraft of World War 1 was the Avro 504, possibly the most manufactured military aircraft of that conflict. It saw first flight on 18th September 1913, and was only retired from service in 1934. It saw service in pretty much every role possible for an aircraft of that era, including reconnaissance, light bombing, as a fighter, and perhaps most famously as a trainer. This minidocumentary covers the early versions, up to the 504H.
