AZORES | ILHA DE SANTA MARIA how is it to visit?

Throughout this Episode we will explore the Island of Santa Maria in the Azores. A small island, but full of beauty and charm. We will pass by the main points of interest such as São Lourenço Bay; Aveiro waterfall which is one of the highest in Portugal; Calçada dos Gigantes (or Ribeira do Maloás); Pedreira well; Pedreira do Campo; Pico Alto, where the biggest air accident in Portugal was recorded; Barreiro da Faneca, also known as the Red Desert; among so many other places.

Due to the canceled flight and delay in delivering the luggage, it was not possible to carry out any nautical activity, but if you have the opportunity, do not miss snorkeling or diving to observe Manta rays or Whale Tubes. Santa Maria Island is one of the best places in Europe to observe these animals.
