After a single flypast during RIAT 2023, this B52H crew performed a crabwalk demo almost the full length of RAF Fairford's 10,000 foot runway. During this demo the portside wing took out 18 of the landing lights as the crew waved to the adoring crowds.

The B52's main landing gear allows the jet to fly in a full 20 degrees of crab whilst the gear remains pointing forward. This improves the crosswind landing capabilities of the aircraft, despite its tiny rudder.
