The video shows scenes of the babtism of HG 4/4 # 704 on June 26, 2019, in Oberwald. The engine is owned by the Furka Bergstrecke Steam Railway. Nine engines of this type were built by SLM in 1923 for use in Vietnam on the Song Pha Da Lat cog wheel railway. The were in use until the 1970ties when the war partly destroyed the railway. In 1990, two HG 4/4 were brought back to Switzerland for later use on the Furka Bergstrecke. The restoration of HG 4/4 began in 2006 and was finished in 2018. Many parts had to be rebuilt from scratch. Also, the engine had to be adapted to modern safety standards and to the slightly different tracks of the Furka Bergstrecke including narrower curves. The engines have 4 cylinders working in compound, two driving the cog wheel and two driving the wheels. In June 2019, HG 4/4 #704 begun running on the Furka Bergstrecke.
