BAC 111 | (British Aircraft Corporation 111) – shortrange jet airliner, developed by the British Aircraft Corporation at the beginning of the 1960s. It is a secondgeneration airliner, which popularized short and midrange jet transportation (along with DC9, Boeing 737 and Tu134).

BAC 111 is considered to be one of the most technologically advanced planes of its time, bringing a lot of innovation to the world of aviation, which made it a hit across many regional airlines.

However, development issues and harsh competition didn’t allow this plane to take over the world. It was assembled in Great Britain and, thanks to licensing, in Romania too. 244 planes were delivered. Its operation was ended in 2019.
