So after the excitement of watching England beat Holland in the Euros semi final , actually berthed in Amsterdam , it was time to head ashore .
We took in the sites , the Red light district , the Anne Frank House and Museum , and of course ended up on another canal cruise .
On returning to the ship we all got ready for formal evening , the plan being to meet in our room to take some photos on the balcony overlooking the cruise port .
We managed to get a table in the MDR, something we had been worried about because of the size of our group .Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy the meal and the children were well catered for .
We sailed away from Amsterdam later that evening , it made a nice change to leave port at night and see the city all lit up .
Our last full day onboard started with breakfast , then a little bit of packing which Pearl actually helped with .unfortunately i had hurt my back and was suffering a little bit . We then all met up at the covered pool area , I took the opportunity to have a bit of time in the hot tub before going to the Sauna to try and ease my back a little .The grandkids spent a bit of time in the pool before deciding it was far too cold for them , the water was actually freezing .
That evening we had another meal in the MDR before we headed to our usual spot the Havana lounge where we saw the group the Privateers , very good they were too .
Next morning we were up early to have breakfast before disembarking the ship in Southampton . So our family mini cruise was at an end , and going by everyone's reactions it seemed like it was a success
