The Enchantments is known to be one of the most beautiful places in Washington state, it's also a notoriously challenging trail. To backpack and camp anywhere along the trail you need to win a permit through the lottery system. I won a Core zone permit, and got the chance to camp in the best place along the trail. This is day one, the climb to the core and exploring the upper Enchantments. Enjoy!
