Dakhóta Romero y Edwin Ferreras realizan una rutina de baile folclórico Merengue en el Ô Toulouse Bachata Festival 2019. Este es Merengue Folklórico! Parte de la rica historia de Merengue se puede atribuir a la preservación de la música folclórica dominicana y las tradiciones de danza. Edwin y Dakhóta organizaron esta coreografía de "Merengue Folklórico" a través de un patrocinio del Club de Cultura Dominicana que se presentará / realizará en el Día de la Independencia Dominicana y con el único propósito de educar al público sobre la rica cultura del folclore, incluyendo; Carabina, Mangulina, Jaleo y Pambiche. La música "Compadre Pedro Juan" fue compuesta por Luis Alberto e interpretada por Francis Santana y fue una de las primeras composiciones primarias de su tiempo, por lo que la eligieron para la coreografía. La coreografía ha ganado numerosos reconocimientos, incluyendo aparecer en segmentos de noticias de televisión, artículos de noticias e incluso una función promocional para el Libro Guinness de los récords mundiales. El escaparate ha sido un gran éxito en su debut y su viaje, por lo que decidieron llevarlo por todo el mundo para promover y difundir aún más la cultura dominicana.

Edwin and Dakhóta put together this ‘Merengue Folklorico’ choreography through a sponsorship by the Dominican Culture Club to be featured/performed on Dominican Independence Day and for the sole purpose of educating the audience about the rich culture of folklore including; Carabine, Mangulina, Jaleo, and Pambiche.
