Surfing Balian Beach

Balian’s Aframe waves provide a forgiving left and a faster right. The runoff from the river has created a deep channel that allows for an easy paddle.

3 to 5 feet is typical.
It’s almost always bigger here than in the South.
If other spots are working, you’ll have bigger waves with less of a crowd at Balian.
Sunrise and sunset sessions are usually surfed only by those staying locally.
The wave is much more forgiving than other spots in Bali,
although the waves are usually a lot bigger than other spots.
Food and lodging are within walking distance.
