Some build pics and maiden flight of my Balsa USA Stingray.
It was a straight forward build with good instructions. The fuselage was fibreglassed and the main wing was covered in silk and dope. all was painted with acrylic paint and 2k clear coated.
some minor modifications have been made to the canopy to be removable and incorporated into a removable top hatch. The landing gear was changed to aluminium.
The engine is a 25cc gasser by NGH. A cover for the muffler was fabricated from blanked Balsa. The wing has an aluminium tube installed during fab to convert to a 2 piece wing if desired in the future, but for now it is a one piece. hope you enjoy the video.
