Highly concentrated banana oils extracted from only two skins.
Cold steep extraction in ethanol (Room temp).
Filtered 3 times.
Washed in distilled water then salted out into Hexane/pentane mixture.
Separated organic layer in a funnel before centrifuging twice.
Extract was reduced under 50°C convection for 5 or 6 hours before scraping up into a vial for storage at 4°C.
Sweet aromatic/ester scent. Yellow when dilite. Orange and cloudy when concentrated.
Main aromatics are mostly Isoamyl acetate, isopentyl acetate & amyl acetate.
Can be created synthetically with Fischer Esterfication.
Main oil species are stearic, oleic, plamitic and linoleic acids, as well as their methyl esters, as expected.
