Thoovanathumbikal is a 1987 Indian Malayalamlanguage romantic drama film written and directed by P. Padmarajan, based partly on his own novel Udakappola. It revolves around Jayakrishnan (Mohanlal) who falls in love with two women; Radha (Parvathy), a distant relative of his, and Clara (Sumalatha), an escort in town.
Jayakrishnan lives a dual life and ensures that neither collide. However, despite his best efforts, he fails when he falls in love with two women who faithfully represent both his lives.
