CLOSING 12 TIPS:

One: When it comes to someone talking, sound is more important than visuals.

Two: Don't use the camera mic unless absolutely necessary.

Three: You spent a crap ton of money of camera gear, time to spend some money on sound.

Four: Get a good audio recorder.

Five: Get a good mic that meets your needs.

Six: Get that mic as close to the person's mouth as possible.

Seven: Garbage audio recording sucks, get great audio up front.

Eight: Set your sound levels, record something, check it, adjust as needed.

Nine: Put on a pair of headphones and listen for bad stuff like AC or refrigerators running.

Ten: Slate, clap, or snap your fingers everytime you hit record.

Eleven: Play with an audio editor and see if you can sweeten up your audio.

Twelve: Don't be lazy, use an audio recorder, bring your audio into your editor, and take the extra 30 seconds to sync up your sound.
