in this (Full scale 1:1) battle i have recreated The Battle at Rorkes Drift, which took place in 1879.

The Battle of Rorke's Drift was a battle in the AngloZulu War that took place on 22 and 23 January 1879 in South Africa. It was fought between a small British garrison and a much larger force of Zulu warriors. The British garrison was stationed at the mission station of Rorke's Drift, and the Zulus had just inflicted a crushing defeat on a British army at the Battle of Isandlwana.

The battle at Rorke's Drift began when a large number of Zulus attacked the mission station. The British defenders, who numbered around 150 men, with an additional 100 man battalion of recruited natives. were able to repel the attack thanks to their superior firepower and good defensive position. Despite being vastly outnumbered, the British held out against repeated Zulu assaults and were able to inflict heavy casualties on the attackers.

The battle lasted for several hours and ended in a British victory. Eleven Victoria Crosses were awarded to the British soldiers who fought in the battle, making it one of the most highly decorated actions in British military history. Despite the victory at Rorke's Drift, the AngloZulu War ended in a British defeat, and the Zulu Kingdom was eventually incorporated into the British Empire.
