Season 6 has arrived for Battlefield 2042 (bf2042) and just before that in Patch 5.3, we got a very significantly buffed Attack Helicopter (Apache for this video) with two TOW missiles, even more dangerous 127mm rockets and a series of major nerfs to the Wildcat & TOR, the two vehicles which (love them or hate them) were central in keeping Attack Helicopters under control. In Season 6 with players coming back & new ones joining, I'm hearing a lot of grumbling that the Attack Helicopters are overpowered. Having really taken my time with them, I have to say I agree.

This video seeks to build on my previous Apache guide, sharing a few extra tricks I've learnt. Primarily though, I want to discuss the two major balance issues which I see are hurting the game at the moment. I also want to give some reliable advice on how to counter the Attack Helis, notably making the best use of all antiair (AA) options available. Personally, I think the CAV with the flak cannon is the new Meta for reasons shared.
