The end of programming from Tuesday 28 December 1993 sees the promo menu for Wednesday then the legend that is Peter Bolgar goes into Closedown mode but not before he tries to hook up with Steve Madden on Radio 2 helped by some dodgy feedback. Then follows the last sighting of the BBC1 Christmas ident played over the National Anthem.
