The BCB stove turned out to be a star performer on Hexamine I tested the use of meths and fire rope meths and sand and just tipping 30ml of meths into the stove turned out the fastest way to boil 500ml of water I tested it against my Canteen Shop stove with trangia burner and the GI issue stove the GI issue stove works far better at 180 degrees than it does in the proper configuration
