BCFNZ Webinar: Dealing with DCIS

Follow
Breast Cancer Foundation NZ

DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) is the earliest form of breast cancer. This means that while cancer cells have formed inside the duct, they haven't mutated enough to spread outside the ducts into the tissue.

In this webinar, we discuss what to expect when you have DCIS, from treatment options and followup to your risk of developing invasive breast cancer.

We hear from breast surgeon Richard Harman and breast care nurse Melissa Warren, who give insight into treatment and recovery, as well as the emotional impact of being diagnosed with DCIS. Lorna Subritzky also joins us to share her story of being diagnosed with highgrade DCIS in 2015.
