Note from the daughter of Sgt. Ellis:
My Father, Sgt. Clifford B. Ellis, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps with the Flying Tigers in WWII in Kunming, Yunnan Province, Southwest, China. He was in the 21st Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron under the leadership of Major General Claire L. Chennault. They took aerial photos of the war areas and made Chinese General Staff maps from the pictures. During this time, He took many pictures of China and also kept a journal of his experiences. Along with these and his souvenirs and letters, he left a legacy for the next generations.
