IN THIS LESSON:
Be Bop articulation is simply tonguing the second half of the beat and slurring onto the following beat in a phrase of quavers or 1/8th notes. Sounds easy but to really get this technique down and sound like Charlie Parker, you need to start slow.
In this lesson I break down the technique for getting this tonguing pattern right. Also, you learn two different patterns you can practice on either alto or tenor saxophone to build this skill.

And the coolest part about developing your bebop articulation is that it will help you even if you aren't a "jazz fan". Working on this exercise will help develop your tongue / finger coordination and that will help you in ALL playing styles.
Have fun!
Nigel
