A full demonstration of a colourful beachscape using Unison soft pastels on La Carte paper. I chat away as I'm painting so you get to hear why I'm making the choices I make at each stage .

I show you how to suggest waves, rocks and hills using softt pastels and how to paint a glowing summer sky. You will see how little you need to do on La Carte paper to suggest a realisitc scene. The pastel glides on and retains it's fresh vibrancy.

Materials I used:
Unison Soft Pastels
A mixed selection of harder pastels , mostly Rembrandt .
A Nupastel stick for sketching up
La Carte pastel paper...brown 50x30cm
