It CAN be done in only one hit, I just had to give up after 6 hours of trying, and yes this is on max difficulty. This damage comes from using multiple multi shots, strength potions, shadow potions, the fireworks artifact and damage boosting armor. As long as multi shot triggered 24 times it was an easy 2 hit kill, if it would trigger all 5 it would be one hit. The odds of this are about 1 in 100 if my math is correct. I still had a lot of fun trying and next time I will do it. Also a higher level bow and artifacts might help in a big way. All sorts of other amazing high level unique items were found today too.
