Learn more about the music:

Kedar Bodas is a khayal vocalist, singing in the Gwalior gharana style. His father Narayanrao Bodas was a famous singer and Marathi stageactor, and passed his love of music onto his son. Kedar had a childhood fascination for the tabla, but soon settled on vocal music, going on to develop an eclectic, esoteric style. In addition to Hindustani music he has studied linguistics and Russian folk tunes in depth, as well as composing for documentaries. Hear more of Kedar here:

A bhajan (literally ‘sharing’) is an Indian devotional song form traditionally associated with the Bhakti movement of Hinduism, and also with the Jain faith. Lyrical themes include ancient epics, saintly teachings, love for the divine, and scriptural ideas. Bhajans typically borrow from raga frameworks but do not impose the same detail and rulebased rigidity, giving the singer more freedom to deviate.
