The technique:
I primed the canvas with a paste I made myself. See the video "Making paste" in the channel. The paste tears under the heat of the hair dryer. Hear the tips in the video.
I roughly apply the paint with the brush. Apply the paint wet on the surface, then you accentuate the cracks. You emphasize the surface with dry paint. You can use the spatula and the brush. You can smear the color again with a cloth. The transitions become softer. The brushstrokes from the job disappear. Areas can be wiped with the dry or wet cloth. It is the same technique as in the skycloudsea videos. There the technology is again explained in detail. It's also the same technique as in the videos on the slide. The many layers of color create depths in the picture. These depths and heights make the picture interesting and give the picture expression. With just one or two layers of paint, the picture looks nice but still a bit flat. With the many layers of paint, the viewer begins to fathom the picture. The viewer wants to discover it. It also arouses his curiosity.
And you yourself have longer fun painting;) You will experiment a lot here. Give yourself a try. Get to know the tools by doing. As a beginner, you can easily apply the paint and enjoy painting. I put the colors and the ingredients for the filler, as well as a readytouse paste on the list (link above). There are numerous videos on this in the channel (tips videos below). You can also find more pens in the list. I used pastel chalk and charcoal.
