Behringer 369-KT in real-life Pt.1 | Ok sound horrible knobs

Espen Kraft

Behringer 369KT, based on the Neve 33609 diodebridge compressor/limiter. This comes with a highly reduced price tag. Is it any good on its own?
Strapped onto the stereo output of my SSL SiX mixer I wanted to try this out as a Bus Compressor. Could I dial in a sweet spot for my retro synthpop?
The threshold level was never changed and set like this to hear the compressor work, mostly with the ratio. I was not focused on the limiter at all, only the compressor interested me.
Part 2 of the video will focus more on the limiter and a more hot signal.

The major disappointment here are the terrible knobs. They feel hard, grindy and cheap. They are stepped so it does make it easier to recall settings, but they feel is sooo bad. It's actually very offputting to me. If I could find a "set it and forget it" setting I might keep it.
The unit was bought and paid for by myself.

The first song is "Somewhere or Nowhere" can be found on Bandcamp here:
