Behringer Poly D - playing with the Poly (full length)

Joe Doria Music

The 3rd in the 'Synth For A Day' series features the Behringer Poly D, an impressive recreation of the famous MiniMoog with additional features that bring it up to date for easy integration within your synth studio and live performance setups.

Within is a oneshot but lengthy improvisation with the Poly D from single oscillator on up to all 4, through it's control and modulation, filtering, plus the additional features such as the arpeggiator and sequencer, the Juno chorus, internal distortion (as well as the original overdrive in routing the headphone out into external input). No talking/bloviating, no social commentary nor near pointless unboxing, etc. Just Poly D/MiniMoog usage.

Personally I feel the latest Behringer synth offerings are absolutely fantastic given these wonderful vintage classics are near nonexistent and priced accordingly. Behringer is one of few giving proper attention to detail and allowing new young synth hands and minds a chance to get hands on with it's synthesis again (and all at a more than fair price point).

I've had the Behringer Model D next to a nearmint '71 MiniMoog and the differences were minutia at best. The latest Poly D expands on their Model D module with a larger user interface, extended patching ability, additional fx such as the Juno 60/106 chorus and internal distortion, It's wellbuilt in construction (complete with wood encasing and flipup interface), and most importantly accurate in sound.
