Air Methods Corporation is an American privately owned helicopter operator. The air medical division provides emergency medical services to 70,000 100,000 patients every year, and serves 48 states and Haiti, and air medical continues to be its primary business focus. Its corporate headquarters are located in the Denver Technological Center, Greenwood Village, Colorado, in the Denver metropolitan area.

The company was founded by Roy Morgan and began air medical operations in 1980. From 1991 until 2017, the company had been a publicly traded company under the NASDAQ ticker “AIRM” until 2017, when it was acquired by a private equity firm.

The Bell 407 is a fourblade, singleengine, civil utility helicopter, a derivative of the Bell 206 LongRanger. The 407 uses the fourblade rotor with composite hub developed for the United States Army's OH58D Kiowa intead of the twoblade, semirigid, teetering, rotor of the 206. The Bell 407 is frequently used for corporate and offshore transport, as an air ambulance and law enforcement.
